Newsweek Poll Deception: >A new Newsweek poll, conducted on 8/1, surveyed 1002 adults. 324 Republicans and 422 Democrats were included in the sample. 49% of respondents said they were Democrats or leaned toward the Democratic party, while 37% chose the GOP.<

They polled 100 more Democrats than Republicans and came to the conclusion there are more Democrats in the overall population. That's the reason all poll results should be believed with a large chunk of salt.
