The stock has been quiet these days. I called Investor Relations for a comment (1-888-684-5524). I spoke with someone named Keith who explained the heat treatment process for me. Basically, the sapphires are heated at high temperatures to allow residual elements to melt into the sapphire, enhancing the color and clarity of the crystal. Apparently, almost all sapphires on the market are heat treated. All the sapphires from this summer's initial test batches turned blue, which means ASW's sapphires have the right combination of trace elements. They are now working on maximizing the clarity of the sapphires. With the heat treated process continuing, we can expect more good news from the company about the expected results of their latest efforts.
