All good points, Laz! And regarding the budget and Bush spending....Well, it's Congress that adds to the Budget (and adds, and adds, etc), and it's Congress that passes the Budgeted items...

Exactly what part of the spending didn't people want Bush to consider?

9-11?
Cleanup?
Burials of over 3,000?
And the wounded? And the families involved?
To say nothing added new protection of all the airlines, airport, sea ports, ships, and land nuclear sites, dams, monuments, etc etc etc...

Or did the folks who didn't like all the spending not want to send money to Katrina victims? And all the hassle of NO?

Or didn't the folks want to send money and ships etc to the Tsunami victims? (Oh, how soon we forget, eh?)

Or didn't they want to spend more money for troops not only in Iraq, and Afghanistan, and for more equipment that is worn out and obsolete....to say nothing of the National Guard outfits all over the country, and for all the Reserves, and for Bosnia, Germany, South Korea, etc etc etc.....

We all did notice Congress gave themselves healthy raises in addition.
