My recco to you would be to pick a single, two , or three postions (930, 935, and 940) and hand chart them or print them out every minute for an hour or so.

This is excellent advice and I second it. I hone in on just a few options and watch them so closely, I feel like I'm inside the MM's head. I know exactly what he's going to do when. Predicting the market generally, though is a whole different story. But at least, with the options I follow, I understand the downward price pressure, and understand exactly when to make my move. There is a logic to it--you just have to get a feeling for the MM's motivations. It's important to see the situation through the MM's eyes, not your own.
