I doubt you'd get many republicans fighting WIC- they'd be cast as baby haters. This isn't a problem I think you can blame on the dems- like most problems in government it's a problem of corporate welfare. It's hard to fight those- since our congress people are owned by the corporations, and not by us. You'll notice that when the republicans had the congress and the presidency they didn't tackle this one:-) Nobody wants to look like they hate babies.
