I still find data lost on ebay and not restored. Some large brokerages also have lost data from Sun computer connector problems. Connectors use gold plating for less than 5 volts usage, but it has large copper content even 24k. Copper corrodes by oxygen and contact vibration combination. The solution for Sun success last year was using vaseline as boundary lubricant, Older Sun computers had to be lubricated for each and every connector pin to eliminate spurious contact resistance problem.

Which means, Sun has to sell computers in pairs for raid5 failsafe and redundant data storage on incoming data. that will double their hardware sales.
