John;

The major cities of Afghanistan is functioning.

I suggest that you read Rory Stewerts book, "The Places In Between". To suggest that the cities of Afghanistan "is functioning" is to misrepresent what the country is all about. The country is mostly rural with even the biggest city - Kabul - having but 2 million people. (Herat is heavily influenced by Iran and Kandahar is 'taliban infected' "). Rory makes the point very well that unless and until we are willing to attempt to understand their culture, we will fail. .......To suggest that after almost 6 years "doing fine" in your mind is killing 100 Taliban at a time the Taliban is restrengthening (according to the WashingtonPost article I provided) means we will be in Afghanistan for a very very long time.

I assume you want to bring all troops home. every place we have a navy , army and air force stationed throughout the world

Well yes - most of them. You obviously believe in a new world order in which America is the policeman of the world - I don't. If you don't want to bring our troops home - then you better be prepared to pay for them. That means higher taxes. Empires fall when they get too big in the head and spread too thin. We get nothing back from our investment in Afghanistan - do the job and come home!

you never put out the total facts , rather move to one area or another like a democrat and ignore the rest of the puzzle.

Old favorite tactic - if you have trouble with the facts just attack the messenger. It's a blog John - how the heck am I suppose to put in all the facts. Do you know how many different reasons this administration has used for going into Iraq? Again; what's the mission? Do the mission and come home.
