Listened to the conference call. Here are some brief highlights... - Manufacturing facility will grow from 7000 sq feet at the beginning of the year to 15,000 sq feet at year's end. Will enable them to keep up with increased demand. - Look for impact of digital flashlight sales in the second half. Expect to see commercial quantities by end of third quarter and into the fourth. - Quality Assurance has been outstanding. Customers are extremely pleased with the product, and there have been zero issues with orders being returned and cancelled. 1% failure rate on delivery. - Have been very active at conferences and shows by attending 83 this year so far and another 30 by end of year. IACP is the big national convention coming up in October, and it generated in excess of 500 leads last year. - Homeland Security - working closely with John Ashcroft (who's on the company's advisory board) and his group. They're helping with the paperwork to become a qualified vendor. Should see them moving into the market this year. Can't say whether trial-size orders or commercial-sized orders. Think margins will remain high and won't have to discount greatly. - Stock-based compensation hits are due to option packages that enabled them to attract quality people from the beginning. Expect costs to stabilize or decline from here on out. Options are vesting due to milestones being reached. - Rear-view mirror camera is very easy to install. Takes about 30 minutes. They have dealers available to do the installs around the country, but most departments have a guy who can it. - Great acceptance rates. Will try to come up statistics. Cited Florida as an example. They ordered two, then eight, then twenty and then forty. - Competition was cited as MobileVision mobile-vision.com , Panasonic panasonic.com , WatchGuard watchguardvideo.com and one other one I didn't catch. - Still being able to price fairly thanks to good feature set. Some competitors have dropped prices, but most are holding steady.
