It's not clear how they tested, or which components they used, but it is clear that it was more than just the CPU by itself. And even so, Wolfdale still ended up with 30% lower power relative to Conroe, while getting 5-10% (and often better) increases in IPC. Hard to argue with results like that.... If you can't see that, you really are solidifying your partisan position Something tells me that you've made up your mind about Doug regardless of his argument on the HKEPC power test setup.
