Maurice, I guess we are in agreement on dislike of taxation.

I would say, rather, that this country is not being governed according to the constitution. If it were, we wouldn't have income taxes or the Federal Reserve which is so busy inflating our money - just two examples. This country, by the way, is not constituted to be a democracy, but a republic (governed by laws). Our representatives are elected by a democratic process, but, thankfully, that is as far as the democracy goes (or is supposed to go). A pure democracy is doomed to failure - it would be closer to anarchy than anything else.
I hope I haven't said anything that would be construed as argumentative, but I would prefer to see this country follow the guidelines of the Constitution than stray so far from it as it has.
