Media storage solution(multi layered data compression) feeds thru headends with analog transmission carrier frequencies(QAM and multiplexers), then you still need cable modem termination, which is constantly upgraded for highest speed transmission for better revenue income? How much redesign is needed to use DSP(blackfin ADI experience in set-top box design) with PWM and A/D conversion? Plus more flash cards in the present cable modem?
