There is a reason that we get food the way we do. People want it, and it's the cheapest way to get it. The trend for years has been to processed food. You ladies don't want to sweat over a hot stove any more. :>)

"Whole Foods" growth is due to people who want food the way you do. But it's a lot more expensive. One of the reasons for this is that it is labor intensive. To keep the cost down, fresh food will come in more and more from overseas.
