Financials surely not. The market may rally if Heli-Ben panders to the market. But I just don't see him doing it yet. Has the Fed ever cut without ISM Manufacturing readings below 50? You need hard macro-evidence to cut, the problem is due to the lagged effects of monetary policy, the Fed often has to cut a lot to smooth out the business cycle.

I don't think Bernanke will be as aggressive as Greenie in cutting and that could be the death knell.

Expect to see a recession of equivalent nature to the early 90's and ironically a Clinton will take the White House.
