Yes I am on 25mg of HCTZ. Now this is only a diuretic so I'm not on any hitech wiz bang BP pill so when I talk of trying to quit it I'm only talking about going to the bathroom less and would know quite soon if I was going to start creeping up. I see no danger in a big spike giving me the big one in other words.

As to the other I'm taking a 100mg of Nutraceutical's ToCoQ10. I've only been doing this a week but my bp has dropped a goodly amount. Now one week does not a trend make. Also I'm back at the gym and also dieting again so that would exaggerate or may even be the cause for the drop. However I am getting readings lower then I've had in years. But again I am weighing less then I've weighed in years also.

With that said your BP that you've posted is not something you should mess around with and I think stopping your medication may not be the path to take. I mean talk with your Dr when you back in as there may be different drugs that don't bother the stomach, etc that could get you down where you need be. Frankly at your height/weight and exercise drugs may be the only thing that is going to lower your BP.

I have other issues that I can alter to drop my BP and the ToCoq10 is but one of them.
