Look no doubt you are right.

Equities are the cheap asset class. And from a fundamentals perspective there are good buys. I just don't like to fight a tape that can be flat to negative for the next 12-18 months. Also, I rarely invest in stocks, more in ETF's so market direction is more important.

I think what is a little scary is the speed of this current adjustment, how far it went, and how freaking wide CDS spreads have moved in NY based financials. Also, I know for a fact there is more pain to come in structured credit (my friends are hurting) if the dominoes continue to fall, it's just not subprime:

CMBS CDO's
CLO's
CFO's based on alternative investments if #1 and #2 crap out

Like Cramer, that scares me <g>.
