Ecolab to Buy Microtek for $274M biz.yahoo.com Tuesday August 7, 6:03 pm ET Ecolab to Buy Microtek Medical Holdings for $274M ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Ecolab Inc., which provides cleaning and pest control services to the hospitality industry, on Tuesday said it has agreed to acquire Microtek Medical Holdings Inc. for about $274.1 million. Under terms of the agreement, Microtek' shareholders will receive $6.30 for each share of common stock outstanding when the transaction closes. The price represents a more than 34 percent premium over Microtek's Tuesday closing price of $4.69. Microtek, a maker and marketer of infection control, fluid control and safety products, has about 43.5 million shares outstanding.
