I'll comment since I milked cows for many years and drank whole milk from the bulk tank. We are much cleaner today then we were in the 30's. Pipelines are sanitized, well the list is too long to print. Refrigeration of raw milk, I mean within an hour of leaving the cow it's already cooled to 35 degrees. Anyhow raw milk would be much safer today.

With that said once I had babies we made the decision to pasteurize our milk and I think that is wise. There is a lot of reasons for drinking milk that is not homogenized however. Your body can process and eliminate the fats from non homogenized, it can not once the fats have been bound by homogenization.

I drink whole milk that is not homogenized sold by a local organic dairy. Good stuff. Much better then anything I could buy in the store.
