I have been mis-using the term "naked short selling". I guess I should be calling it "uncovered short selling" or something like that.

Ed, probably just short selling since shorting is always uncovered or naked except for shorting against the box to go market-neutral.

I am not sure why "failures to deliver" are now referred to as naked shorting since the word naked has a much different meaning when used in selling options.

My niece sent a email with some guy ranting about naked shorting (he meant just plain shorting) and she wondered whether there were people selling stock without any clothes on.<g>

Does it seem kind of a stretch for a small E&P in pre-production mode to be planning construction of a power plant?

That far north area of Peru is thinly populated. If there was a need for a power plant there, why wouldn't one of the major power generators in Peru construct one there, especially since there appears to be ample coal supply nearby? Are they planning on selling the power in Ecuador? I read that their grids are connected and Guayaquil is inside 100 mi from the field.

My question is this....if the power plant goes nowhere and the gas remains stranded, do you still see BZP as a good buy strictly based on oil prospects?
