Did you see the chinese car crash test on TV yesterday? What a piece of crap. Get in an accident and everyone in the car is dead.

Well now that GM wants to import those chinese cars to sell, you'll see GM use their decades of experience in designing cars to meet federal regulations. GM will tell the chinese what to do so China can get the cars crash-worthy quickly. Of course once China gets that knowledge they start selling on their own and bypass GM.

Typical american management style, give away hard earned knowledge to gain short term profits. Go to keep stock price up to cash in those options ASAP, if the company doesn't exist in 10 years tough luck to the shareholders.

IMO executive options should be set up so they can't be exercised at all for the first 5 or 10 yrs after issue. Then they'll have the long term interest of the company in mind.
