Hi Max, I have been watching a lot of Bloomberg trying to figure this subprime thing out. What I have taken away so far is that no one knows what the depth of the problem is. There is apparently no transparency. Maybe the fact that 3/4's of the hedge funds are registered in the Bahama's should tell us something. Yes, spin has become an euphemism for lies. And many of our politicians and corporations are teaching our children that lying is OK. John Stewart of the Daily show and Steven Colbert have made a living out of mainly just showing the hypocrisy and lies people (mainly politicians) are telling. John Stewart keeps saying: "don't they know we have tapes of what they said before"-lol. What Bush and co have learned is that many just do not care if they lie. I watched Bush unabashedly tie 9/11 to Iraq again today. Cheney does it every chance he gets. And over 30% fo our population go for it and I think they know it is a lie! The old saying just keep telling the lie over and over, no matter what. I always find it amusing that so many think of sex in moral terms, but lying cheating, stealing and violence are just fine. I always felt sex was at the same level as eating. Something humans do (and all other animals for that matter-lol). I never saw where the moral issue was with sex? We cannot expect more from our politicians and business leaders until we demand honesty from them. And do not penalize them when they tell the truth!
