I believe you had asked if if were possible to run unix on your home pc.

Applix has a software package that's written in Linux, a form of Unix, on the market for $70.00. What does Windows 95 cost? Well over $100, I think.

We haven't had a chance to run the Applix software package but housemate tells me the Applix package has word processing, a spread sheet, and, interesting, the filters in the software will let you format and save your text in WORD--just like Windows.

I think it is important for people to know that there are alternatives to Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. With the Applix software you can write messages, do your home budgets etc.--- just like you do with Windows.

As far as I know the Applix software will run with Intel chips.
