I have a little more respect for Detroit than you do... not a lot. They are under pressure, and they have to do it right. The worst, from their perspective, is to rush it and bring out a POS plug in. That would REALLY screw their credibility.

Look how dumb Honda was. They came out with a hybrid that was tuned for performance, not economy. Even admitted that mistake. How dumb could they be?

Looks like it will take 'till the 2010 model year at least for any of the major carmakers.
