But you seem to like the idea of a homogeneous society because, among other things, there would be less crime. There is some validity to that observation. But you must have also noticed that those nations have strong gun controls.

Anybody using a gun in a crime is, by definition, a criminal. So if a "law-abiding" commits a crime with a gun, he is not a law abiding citizen, is he? So you can make the claim that law abiding citizens don't commit crimes......pretty heavy stuff, huh?
