I think you may have misunderstood me! The beta version of Visual J++, and the release version of SDK for Java! Look for yourself:
microsoft.com

The released version of SDK for Java is supposed to support JDK1.1, IT DOES NOT! in practicality!, If you go to the Visual J++ site, it tells you that you can use VJ++ with the latest SDK for Java, and gives you a set of instruction to follow. When you do so and try to use it, IT DOES NOT WORK, and you are unable to do debugging or development! You then end up calling Microsoft and they finally tell you that oh yes, we still dont support jdk 1.1!! eventhough their marketing is saying everywhere that they DO!

Believe me I have no bias against Microsoft. In fact I think their tools are the best in the industry thats why I wanted to have my group use Microsoft's rather than Sun's (for example WorkShop 2.0 for Java)! But the fact is when it comes to Java, Microsoft is all talk and behaves like a second hand care salesman!
