O'Neal was next to Tillman when he was killed. If he doesn't think it was anything but a mistake, I'd take his word for it.

You're continuing to insert your own interpretration to justify keeping the hope alive that Tillman was fragged - perhaps as part of a conspiracy from Wa. If O'Neal said a prayer, to you that means he had his head down engrossed with prayer throughout the incident and thus couldn't have seen anything, so you can dismiss his opinion. That's bogus reasoning designed to further your hope that something worse than a friendly fire mistake happened.

And "taking 3 in the forehead" implies that no other shots were being fired at the time. Discouninting that in a combat situation the air could have been filled with lead.

I guess if it had been YOUR kid instead of Tillman you'd just say, "Accidents happen, so why should I care." Is that how you would have reacted to YOUR kid being killed under the same murky circumstances?

I wouldn't insist on a giant conspiracy and I'd take the word of the man beside him as reliable.
