Slagle and Carranza,

It is no longer the issue of socks. The Chinese manufacturing prowess is catching up to. So it is not far fetched that they can automate the sock making process too, and at a fraction of the cost. The US advantage over China in number of qualified and experienced technical people has gone from 10:1 to 2:1 in the last twenty years.
