Here is where the money is going. I often find the market is swayed almost exclusively by the big volume stocks with big prices. One shall chase a thousand is the truth. I am not sure if this chart will show but if you can see it there is $59 billion dollars being spent on a fairly useless piece of equity. It is seasonal but almost pays nothing in return. Why bother holding it for a long period except to charge some innocent person maintenance fees or use it as a safe haven. Below you can see the seasonality of AAPL. I would say if you study the indicators of a stock like AAPL and it bears out that it is seasonal and also a big dollar volume stock, why not park you cash in a stock, or fund for that matter, that gives you some compound interest in return?
