The Mexican border has been violent for the past 300 years. Nothing new. The rightwing acts like this is something new that their leaders have not condoned for centuries. Hell back about 20-30 years ago Mexicans were actively recruited by the agribusiness types, all illegals too, then exploited and polluted by pesticides. Which is where Ceasar Chavez came in. This is nothing new. read the book LINES AND SHADOWS. Same damn thing 25 years ago as Joseph Wambaugh reported.

Remember, border communites on both sides also depend on smuggling as their #1 industry. So think of the corruption. On both sides and in the Border Patrol too.
