Problem is, it's not so much a "nuke" as it is a "Doomsday Machine" a la Dr. Strangelove. Mutually assured destruction, as it were...... The best alternative for China is to use the "conventional" weapos, i.e, stop recycling their trade surplus into US denominated instruments, and move to Yen or Euro or gold based instruments instead. The dollar will continue to slide gently, their Forex reserves will decline slowly and their current account surplus will continue without too much interference from US protectionists.
