It feels like fall here today. Boy, it sure does. In fact a couple of weeks ago, I told him that it felt like fall....He poopooed that idea...but guess what....

Fall is early. I'm hardly ever cold, but it's cold to me.. Even yesterday's 74 felt chilly.

Today would be a good day to make that 8 hour in the oven stew...layer meat, onions, carrots and potatoes with salt and pepper...cover the whole thing with Campbells tomato soup (yes REALLY do that) and then add water enough to go half way up the side of your contained. Cover tightly, and seal the cover with tin foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 6-8 hours. Or you can speed the stew up by baking at 325 for 3-4 hours....Cooking longer lets the flavors meld better.

Or if it turns out to be a nice day after all....a Hobo Supper (layer hamburger, onions, potatoes and carrots with S&P in a foil package, and cook in the coals of a campfire for about 45 minutes....) Nummmmmy!

Both of these two meals are Great with biscuits and salad....
