Note that on crucial votes the GOP always supports Bush almost unanimously. But the Democrats NEVER oppose Bush unanimously. And often the defectors total much more than 10% as for instance in the legislation passed a few years ago making it much easier for credit card companies to squeeze people who fall behind on their payments. About a third of the Dems voted for this brutally regressive bill if memory serves.
