ust in the past few months, though, it seems like an enormous amount of new retail space has been coming on line. A lot of the new space isn't leased yet and a lot of existing space seems to be going vacant as existing businesses move to the new space with no replacements.

happening here too , strip malls, mall renovations, offices space

my understanding is that commercial overbuilding follows housing booms....

will the commercial building bust follow as well?

cap rates are at historic lows, which suggests to me that they probably have nowhere to go but up

sam zell sold his equity office properties trust to BLACKSTONE GROUP for $36 billion....and of course we know were BX has gone since going public
