I think its because Democrats come from the blue states where the entrepreneurs are. The minute the dems come in we get things like the new alt energy bill that encourages new industry development. Then the VCs crank up, new companies created etc.

As opposed to republicans who just take the tax receipts and dole them out in the form of tax breaks and pork to the established red state industries - oil, farming etc.

I fully expect the economy to improve dramatically in 08. Better stock market returns and some progress on the deficit.
