My husband and I have seriously considered moving to Whistler BC.

I looked seriously into moving to Canada (oddly, for the climate) maybe ten years ago and gave up. I found that they are picky about whom they accept. They want young, skilled workers or entrepreneurs. I'd have had to put up a couple of hundred thousand for the privilege of living there, which really annoyed me given that my living there and spending money would have been a net asset to Canada.

I find it odd that all these people are able to move there, particularly for the health care. (I did not want to use their health care system and planned to commute to Seattle for other than emergencies.) Perhaps the rules have changed since I looked into it.
