Energyplay,
Unless a politician does something really stupid and does it in the wrong country I don't see how the 911/WOT changes will matter at all. Of course he will always have the problem of moving the funds back here to the US, but maybe that is not part of his gameplan. If the hot transfer is made in the Philippines or Panama or a hundred other places as long as the loot stays there in a local bank he has no worries at all.

There was the interesting case of the Filipino Mark Jimenez where the Bushies, after his protector President Estrada was arrested, managed to get the Arroyo government to extradite Jimenez back to Florida to face charges of giving the Clinton/Gore machine a $40,000 illegal donation. But according to my Filipino buddy, a lawyer and retired politician and Godfather of one of my kids, there was never any attempt whatsoever to get Manila to investigate further. All the illegal donations had been made here, in the US from his computer business. Jimenez spent a few months in a federal lockup in Miami, but is now back in the Philippines.

In other words, here after 911 the justice department had a guy who had been knee deep for years in the very things I am talking about, convited him and put him in jail for election fraud, and never bothered to even ask about things that are common knowledge in the Philippines.
