"Besides, I am absolutely correct in my original, his name is arabic, barak means blessed in arabic and husein is obviously also arabic, so where am I not correct? Also, show me one single Catholic or Jewish individual who's name is either barak or husein... TIA"

_______________

We are given our names a birth..we don't get to choose. But most people respect their parents and keep their names as a sign of respect. That fact that a name is arabic or farsi has nothing to do with one's religious belief any more than one's father's religion.

I don't know where you are coming from here. This is the ultimate "have you stopped beating your wife" issue. If he had changed his name, imagine the stink that would come up because he was "hiding his roots". If he keeps his name, attends a Christian church for twenty years, never attended a moslum mosque, married a Christian, had his kids baptized Christian...but has a moslum name given him by his parents, he is therefore a moslum?

Sorry, I don't buy it.

And, yes, there are jews with other semitic names. Do you really believe converts or those with lineage from the Middle East don't carry common names of the region?

Really, GZ...rather than prove the negative, why not show where Obama practiced as a muslim.
