LIAR. Rightwing corruption is HUGELY expensive to society, as are its evil twin sisters corporate corruption, deregulation and privatization of the public wealth.
The gas gouging, S+L debacle, war profiteering, cronyism, allowing corporate lobbyists to write policy, inability to negotiate for lower drug prices, Katrina fraud, total wastes of moneyt on needless Pentagon programs like SDI, etc. etc. are costing this country TRILLIONS with a capital T. These are the sole reasons we even have a national debt, along with letting the rich and corporate giants off without paying much taxes. Put it togeher and no wonder Bush will be leaving us with some 10 trillion in new debt.
Welfare mothers? What kind of 40 year old rightwing koolaid have you been drinking? What makes you think welfare is a major problem? I know some single mothers. It's almost impossible for them to get assistance, or daycare, or health care, or anything from the government. You are living in the far past, and even back then the corruption of the Vietnam War cost us far-far more than any welfare fraud even began to. You also lack compassion, because it's not single mothers who are the victims of poverty, but the kids. Karl Rove was handed off to a gay man to raise. His mother couldn't get welfare apparently.
