I plan to diversify by getting a position in Russell 1000 stocks.

There are two iShares ETF's; IWD contains the value stocks; the 50% with the lowest price to book ratios, and IWF contains the growth stocks, the 50% with the highest price to book ratio.

It is interesting to do a 5 year comparison of the two. The Value component has indeed outperformed the growth component, apparently.

To illustrate my strategy, I'll let you know tomorrow what I've done, and how I shall play it. In the meantime, here's a chart to ponder.
