just speculating but with a downdraft of this magnitude we should look at the situation from 2 standpoints: crazy selling/smart selling smart selling: someone got smell of bad earnings/wont make whisper number/ recall problem/revenue impact/restricted supply/operations problem/ legal problem/competition problem someone trying to shakeout "weak hands" in anticipation of oct 16. someone trying to get options cheap someone trying to hedge their DDX options position soros is looking for a "better" investment vinik is looking for a "better" investment PE compression from 32 to 20 (?) crazy selling: short selling push the stock price below technical levels to scare people i can't come up with more reasons for crazy selling because i am not insane. because the ask is consistently being hit, i'd say that someone is shorting this stock like crazy or getting out of the position whole hog. and its a BIG position. have a buy at 22.5, and i hope i get it. have been buying on the way down from 24.5. bill
