Mike,
"Craig, Crichton does not believe in Global Warming or in feminism."
I don't know about his views on feminism, but I did read State of Fear about five times and, unless I missed something big, he doesn't exactly claim that global warming isn't happening...he says there's no scientific proof that human endeavours are the cause. He also says that the extent of warming is very up in the air(although he claims that there is evidence that it has been going on since the end of the last ice age). He makes some good analogies to the eugenics movement early in the last century, by showing how this kind of hysteria over one thing or another can start without adequate scientific basis. And as you know, the eugenics movement was picked up by the Nazi's and used as a basis for their mass exterminations. Given that, I'd have to say he is very anti-hitler, not that I took your comment about Hitler at face value...
Did you get the 'feminism' thing from his book called, Disclosure? That's the only one I can recall that dealt with gender matters. And it didn't seem biased one way or another, if I'm recalling it correctly. Also, he is pro-choice, last time I checked, and wrote a whole book about it(see In Case of Need).
Well, my point is all this is I don't get your assertion that he's a Bush man. Quite the opposite, I would think.
