It appears that my memory was wrong. This is one reason I try to avoid making statements as if they are fact. When I stated that Mormonism was an offshoot of Adventism, it appears that it was a completely false statement.

I believe Mormonism is an offshoot of Pretestantism as is Adventism. Protestants mostly split from the Catholic Church.

When we become judgmental of comparative religions the risk of offending others is very great.
