Craig, His position correlates nearly perfectly with the current GOP position. Previously, the GOP was saying that there was no such thing as global warming. They took the same position on the destruction of the ozone layer and, before WWII, on Hitler's aggressiveness. They are the denial party. However, even their bought and paid for scientists eventually had to admit that they were wrong on the ozone layer and global warming. The new GOP position is that there is global warming, but it can't be proven that humans are the cause or even a cause. After they get caught in that lie, they will admit that there is a human contribution, but correcting it would destroy our economy. After that, it will be "we told you all about this year's ago." Chrichton seems to be following their line so far.
