They mostly blame Nixon, but most of the people around today don't know the difference or don't care. When I was at the Children's museum on Sunday, they had a Sesame Street special there and they were talking about Viet Nam and they actually said, Nixon got us into Cambodia and escalated the war!

I believe it was Nixon who ordered the bombing of Viet Cong trails and supply routes in Cambodia.

Would that Johnson had done the same.

The NVA and Viet Cong knew they could flee back into Cambodia and we would not chase them there. If our leaders had the guts to deal with the situation, that war would have turned out much different.

By the time Nixon ordered bombing, the MSM had taken over the anti-war cry and public opinion was against it. Remember Uncle Wally Cronkite? When he came out against the war, it was all over.
