I heard a radio report on Memphis, Tennessee. The temps for this August are setting a record high there. No rain, which they usually get, too.

Where I live the records are being threatened.

I heard another radio report about Phoenix, AZ. Last year, 40 homeless people died from heat-related causes, and this year is hotter than last. In Phoenix, the homeless are driven from the parks, where they might get some shade and water, and from the malls, where they might get a chance to cool down in the A/C. So, they end up exposed in the concrete canyons, where temps often reach 130 this summer.
