This is not good for Novell! There were rumors in the recent past that Denise Gibson would leave but I thought they were resolved. Denise was very important for Novell (the new blood) and she got excellent reviews from the insiders that I have spoken with. There is definately something going on internally at Novell and it does not smell right. I also was under the impression that CEO Schmidt was 100% behind Ms Gibson, so something must have happened recently to change her mind to stay.

IMO, this will make the current product release schedule to fall behind even more...perhaps another six months. I hope that MOAB will be released in 1998.....it may be 1999 before it becomes available.

Joe - I would be interested in your opinion on Ms. Gibson's resignation and if there are any 'positives' that could be made of it. At this point I can not think of any...just negatives.

Unfortunately, unless a buy out is now in the works (IMO very small chance... less than 5%), Novell has just hit another significant bump in the road. It would not surprise me to see new lows in the next six months.
