I'm just glad I threw in the veggies when I did rather then waiting for the darkness or I would have burned for sure. I became a bit impatient and turned the burner up a bit at about the 40 minute mark and obviously got a little too aggressive. Ok, I'm eating gumbo. Good eats! Just a taste today and a reheat tomorrow for supper with some good chewy bread. Mmmm.
