So I think if I were George Bush, and I was sure the Demoncrats were going to win in 2008, I would want it to appear the surge was working, but i would pile up the evidence that Iran was working against the US. I would keep exposing that evidence at regular intervals between now and next summer. Then in about mid September or the beginning of October I would take out the Iranian government and the Iranian oilfields. Remember that when oil is in short supply the Oil companies make more money. At that point when the Democrats win, they will get a country that has sky high oil prices and is fighting not 2 but 3 wars in the Middle East..... The American Economy will tank, and the Democrats will spend the next four years trying to dig itself out of the hole.
