TGP - Don't know who your service is with, but with Embarq(originally Sprint), at first I had some issues, but once I pushed to get them worked out, it's been almost as reliable as basic phone service. I think I've only had one or two failures over the past 4-5 years. Also very few problems with the Bellsouth service here at work. It is amusing watching the AOL/Roadrunner ads on TV (with the guy sitting in the opened monitor) dissing DSL, telling you to upgrade to their(small print 768Kbps)high speed cable, when I'm already at 3Gbps on DSL and could be higher if I wanted to pay more! :)
