Maybe the Medicare Part D coverage could give the insurees a voucher for $4 each to WalMart for the most prescribed medications.... That should cut costs quite a bit....<ggg>

Who did the numbers you are quoting? And what source did they use? What was the retail cost? Or did they use the discount cost of the prescriptions?

Edit: "The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced last month that the Medicare Part D drug benefit cost nearly $13 billion less than expected - instead of $43 billion, it only cost $30 billion."
