Are you kidding about AMD being a bellwether for tech stocks? Intel is the bellwether for microprocessor stocks--there can be only one bellwether (by definition). AMD is a weathered company, at best. :) I'm certainly looking forward to the earnings, and they may have some effect on the overall market, but if AMD stated that their sales were half of last year's, it wouldn't have nearly the same effect as if Intel said the same thing (from a volume perspective alone!).
